GDR are pleased to now offer the HABC Level 2 Award in Em ergency First Aid at Work as an accredited qualification. Affordable first aid training courses run in the Forest of Dean helping to keep local businesses legal. These fully accredited medical services really help owners and staff when accidents happen. The course will familiarise students with the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, including assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, and assisting a casualty who is suffering from injury and illness. Students will learn and be assessed on their practical ability to deal with casualties who have stopped breathing, are unconscious, are bleeding and suffering from shock. All successful students will be issued with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate which lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
Content: The Role and Responsibility of an Emergency First Aider - Assessing an Incident
- Managing an Unresponsive Casualty who is Breathing Normally
- Managing an Unresponsive Casualty who is not Breathing Normally
- Recognise and Assist a Casualty who is Choking
- Managing a Casualty who is Wounded and Bleeding
- Managing a Casualty who is in Shock
- Managing a Casualty with a Minor Injury
Assessment:
Candidates are assessed by ongoing practical assessment by the Tutor throughout the course. Venue:
