This course complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practice L74 guidelines for qualifications of workplace First Aiders.

This course provides delegates with a basic training in first aid. The course is a cost effective way of training groups of delegates, without taking up too much of their work time.

This course is a blended learning course, which requires completion of our pre-learning prior to attendance.  The pre-learning is delivered via our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).  The pre-learning takes two hours to complete, and must be completed in full prior to attendance on the face-to-face programme.

Employer Guidance:

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable First Aid to be provided to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.

These regulations apply to workplaces, including those with five or fewer employees and to the self employed.  How much first aid provision an employer has to make depends on the circumstances of each workplace.  In general terms, this course may be more suitable for lower-risk environments, such as offices and shops and/or organisations with fewer than 100 employees.
